Return calculator

Model the projected value of a precious-metals purchase over time. Works for gold, silver, platinum, and palladium — replaces the four legacy per-metal calculator pages.

🥇 Gold return calculator

Quick scenario estimator at $2,650/oz · fallback spot.

You buy3.59 oz @ $2,783 all-in
After 10 years (projected)$20,561
Projected gain$10,561 (+105.6%)

Educational projection only. Real returns depend on premium at purchase, spread at sale, storage cost, and actual price movement — none of which are guaranteed.

What this tells you (and doesn't)

The calculator projects forward at a chosen annual growth rate — it's a scenario tool, not a forecast. Real outcomes depend on the price you actually paid (premium varies), the spread when you sell (dealers buy below spot), storage / insurance cost over the hold period, and whether the metal held its assumed growth rate over your specific window.

For a directional check, the long-term annualized return for gold has been ~8% in USD nominal terms since 2000 (LBMA / World Gold Council). Silver is more volatile; long-term ~6.5%. Platinum/palladium are heavily industrial and harder to baseline — use those with caution.
